What I'm Playing

So my tv went out, and going back to playing my PS3 on something small just depressed me. Decided to do a couple other things in the meantime.

I went out and bought a copy of Civilization V. Had to hook up through Steam Network to do so, and ended up grabbing Magicka and Mass Effect in the last month. Review of Civ 5 probably coming soon, have only dabbled in the other two.

I also borrowed my roommates neglected DS because I thought it would finally be fun to play a Pokemon game. I started with Leafgreen, blew through it, and I'm now playing Pokemon Emerald.

This last week, I finally got my tv fixed... I had just started Dead Space, so I jumped back into that. I was also playing Fallout: New Vegas... but I'm going to hold off on playing that again because I believe a new patch is around the corner. New Vegas may be the buggiest game I've ever played, but I love it so I endure the bugs.

  1. I love civilisation. I used to play Civ II right up until Vista when it stopped working. :)

  3. I just can't get the hang of the new civ games like I could civ 2. I could consistently beat that one on Deity, but even civ 3 I ended up using the AI against itself by playing two civs against eachother essentially buying each one into making war with the other, taking a bit from the civ we were at war with, buying peace, then buying war the other way when I had an army again, taking a bit, buying peace etc. All the while selling cities back to their original owners to make the next round of war.

Couldn't beat it any other way.

  4. I got back into Pokemon a couple months ago with Platinum, but it seems that my Giratina somehow turned into a Rapidash. Now I've got two identical copies of Rapidash in my PC and haven't played Platinum since. I did buy White though, and I like it very much.
